This listing is for 1 oz or 2 oz bottle of Blended Cleansing Oil, packaged in a convenient glass container with a glass dropper. The 1 oz bottle should be enough to cleanse your face at least 40 times. The 2 oz bottle should be enough to cleanse your face at least 70 times.
USING THE CLEANSING OIL:
No need to pre-clean beforehand, even if you’re wearing makeup, rinse your face lightly with the warm, running water.
Puddle at least 1 full dropper in the palm of your hand and then apply gently all over your face. Massage firmly, but gently, always moving upwards. Massage for 2 minutes, and then let the oil sit on your face for 30 more seconds or more.
Wet a washcloth with very warm water (as hot as you can stand to put your hands in). The washcloth should be completely soaked.
Allow the washcloth to cool enough to apply to your skin, but warm enough to soften the oil (it’s probably going to be hotter than the water you usually rinse your face with).
Apply the washcloth to your face and hold it there for 10-15 seconds. Slowly begin to wipe off. Rinse your washcloth and repeat until you’ve wiped all the oil off your skin.
IMPORTANT: You'll want your skin to feel soft and supple, not oily or slippery. Continue to wipe with the washcloth until you've achieved this feeling.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Your skin may take some time to adjust to your new cleansing regimen. During this time, do your best not to use traditional facial cleansers (that contain surfactants that strip the oil).
You must allow your skin to learn to regulate the oils it produces naturally. If you strip those oils with a traditional cleanser, it could cause some problems in the form of breakouts.
In addition, you may (or may not - many people do not) experience breakouts during this adjustment time, as well. If your skin has not readjusted within 2-3 weeks, discontinue the use of this product.
The oil cleansing method works exceptionally well for some people, but not at all for others. The only way you'll learn if it's right for you is ... of course ... to try it!
