Rose Water Skin Benefits

Rose water is great for all skin types. It has gentle anti-bacterial properties to it and can help relieve redness and inflammation in the skin. This makes it a great product to use for those who suffer with acne or chronic redness. It won't dry out your skin, so it's great for those with dry skin, too. It has been known to help with under-eye circles and softening of early signs of aging. It also is great to use on skin irritations, such as bug bites or sun burns.

One of the main benefits of rose water is that it acts as an anti-inflammatory, soothing irritated skin and scalp. Some people also use roses as a rich source of antioxidants, which can help strengthen skin cells and regenerate skin tissue. These properties, proponents believe, make rose water particularly beneficial to people with sensitive skin.

Aloe Vera is used as a cooling agent, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, healing and cooling properties it is a very useful natural element to treat our skin. Aloe vera also contains a rich source of amino acids, vitamins A, C, F, B, niacin and traces of Vitamin B12.

The amazing hydrating properties of aloe vera makes it a popular ingredient in many skin care products and it is one of the beneficial natural remedies for melasma. It is also used to treat numerous skin diseases, and it is a potent cure for treating ringworm. Pure aloe vera contains mucilaginous polysaccharides that lighten blemishes, dark spots caused by excessive sun exposure and melasma discoloration. The potent antioxidant properties of aloe vera gel protect the skin from the damage caused by oxidative stress.

Acne affects everyone at one point of their lives. Acne is a skin condition where the body produces more sebum (bodily oil) and the pore are clogged. Owing to this the pores get infected and bacteria start to multiply in these pores. Aloe vera's anti-bacterial properties reduce these acne and helps in preventing recurrences.

Dryness can again be due to a variety of factors. It can be due to winter or summer, it can occur when you are exposed to wind. It can also occur when there are some other factors involved. Dryness is mainly lack of moisture. Aloe vera is very hydrating and restores the moisture in the skin.

Witch hazel shrinks the skin, it reduces the sizes of the pores and, therefore, reduces the extent of clogging of those pores by dead skin cells, bacteria and sebum.

The astringent property of witch hazel can act deep enough at the capillaries feeding the follicle cells. Witch hazel causes the constriction of these blood vessels which means more oxygen and nutrient-rich blood are supplied to the follicle cells.

Since the clogging of the skin pores is the first step in the formation of acne lesions such as whiteheads, blackheads and pimples, witch hazel’s astringent action can reduce the formation of new lesions and shrink down those already present on the skin.

This astringent property is attributed to the tannins found in witch hazel.

Witch hazel contains catechol tannins that help constrict skin pores and push out the dirt clogging them.

Yet another benefit of this astringent property is that it keeps the skin dry by reducing sebum production.

Please note, because we try to deliver the purest product possible, therefore we don't use chemical emulsifiers to dissolve our essential oils in water base of our toner. So, that's why you will see tiny drops of essential oils floating on top. To blend the oils back into toner base all you have to do is give it a good shake before each use. They will naturally evenly disperse.
