Arrowroot powder is the primary base and it is used for it's moisture-absorbing properties and Softens skin, making skin silky soft and is detoxifying.
Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is composed of a unique combination of 33% silicon, 19% calcium, 5% sodium, 3% magnesium and 2% iron, as well fifteen other trace minerals like boron, manganese, titanium, copper and zirconium.
Silica is an important trace mineral for human health, and one that many are unaware that they need.
DE helps draw out moisture, is also detoxifying, but it also helps to ease sensitive skin.
Coconut & Almond Oils contain wonderful antibacterial properties.
Shea Butter is high in vitamins A and E and is incredibly soothing for your skin.
Beeswax (all-natural, unrefined, no additives, etc.) helps to stabilize and slightly harden the deodorant so it isn't too soft. Beeswax does not clog pores, but it does help the moisturizing properties of the butters and oils.
Essential oils inhibit the bacteria...not to mention smell wonderful. I like Lavender & Rosemary but you can select your own scent.
If you have never used a deodorant without chemicals before, please be aware of a 'conditioning period' where your body (under arms) under go a detox to get used to these new ingredients. It takes about a week of using daily for the detox to be complete.
**Note this is NOT an Antiperspirant and will not prevent sweating. Frankly, sweating is your body's way of ridding toxins. By taking in less of them, you should sweat less.
